The pre-Christmas time was quite intense. Not just one but two e-bikes were stolen in succession from IT\u2019S MY BIKE in early December. The Bike Hunters wasted no time in launching a search.<\/p>\n

It was early December when bike thieves made off with not just one but two bikes within a week. Not only that: they also were two test bikes belonging to IT\u2019S MY BIKE, a company that develops GPS trackers for e-bikes.<\/p>\n

Ahmed Helwes, an IT\u2019S MY BIKE employee, was victim of a bike theft on the first weekend of December 2023. He locked up his bike at the Darmstadt station bike parking facility at 3.30\u00a0p.m. on the Friday and left the city for the weekend. Unfortunately, on his return at around 8\u00a0p.m. on 3 December, he found that his bike had disappeared. He immediately contacted the IT\u2019S MY BIKE Hunter Team, who started a search without delay.<\/p>\n

The situation took a surprising turn on Sunday 10 December. The police in nearby Pfungstadt contacted Ahmed to inform him that his bike had been found in woodland in Alsbach, further south. Ahmed was able to pick his e-bike up at 6.30\u00a0p.m. on the same day and reported that it was in excellent condition.<\/p>\n

Markus Prager, also an IT\u2019S MY BIKE employee, had a similar experience. His bike was stolen from Gutenbergstrasse in Darmstadt at 7.42 p.m. on 6 December. He eventually reported the theft officially at 7.47\u00a0a.m. on 7 December. The IT\u2019S MY BIKE Hunter Team promptly initiated a search. They located the stolen bike in Kranichsteiner Strasse, at the Roller Sports Hall in Darmstadt, where it had been parked overnight. The police seized the bike at 10.40\u00a0a.m. and took it back to the station. Markus accompanied the police and reported the theft officially.<\/p>\n

Both victims got their e-bikes back thanks to effective action and smooth cooperation between the Bike Hunter team and the police.<\/p>\n
