IT\u2019S MY BIKE now works with my Boo, a Kiel-based bike manufacturer, which mainly manufactures bikes with bamboo. The company sources this renewable raw material in Ghana and has the bamboo parts hand-crafted locally. These components are then assembled in the German city of Kiel.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]From now on, my Boo will be equipping all its e-bikes with IT\u2019S MY BIKE technology as standard. Customers are now given the option of having all digital services activated in the newly developed my Boo<\/em> app free of charge for three years. In addition to digital theft protection with a movement alarm, the app can also be used to analyse ride data and acquire insurance packages at a reduced price. An accident assistant can also be activated, which will notify any emergency contacts a rider has added if the rider has an accident.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cThe IT\u2019S MY BIKE smart technology allows our customers\u2019 e-bikes to be located in the event of theft and also retrieve them in most cases,\u201d states Jonas Stolzke, Managing Director of my Boo. \u201cAs a result, the customer gets their bike back instead of needing to buy a new one. This consequently helps to conserve resources, thus underpinning our concept of fair, sustainable business.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The bicycle manufacturer not only has its bamboo frames made in Ghana. It also funds a local project, which built a school in the country in 2019. The region also benefits from bike production as it has already created more than 40 jobs there.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith IT\u2019S MY BIKE, we not only return bicycles to their owners. Bike manufacturer my Boo uses the renewable resource bamboo in its bikes and e-bikes. The Kiel-based company has been working on its products since 2012. The bamboo frames are produced in Ghana, where the company contributes to the regional economy in the country and also funds local social projects.<\/p>\n
